Join the Elizabeth Avenue Partnership as it celebrates “Hispanic Heritage Month” with a free open air concert at Union Square Plaza on Saturday, Sept. 28, from noon to 6 p.m., with a rain date of Saturday, Oct. 5.
Bring a chair, relax and enjoy an afternoon of live entrainment featuring classic, romantic and Latin love songs performed by a guitar trio, Trio Cristal, along with the sweet sounds of a guitar virtuoso trio, Francisco Pancho Navarro & Friends, and their “Guitar Celebration,” performing their soulful rendering of classical Latin music.
Next, enjoy the sophisticated sound of Brazilian music with its exotic rhythms performed by the renowned Brazilian percussionist Mauricio de Souza and his acclaimed jazz quartet, Bossa Brasil, and finish the day with the unique music of an up-and-coming progressive art rock group, SIOS.
This program is sponsored by the Elizabeth Avenue Partnership; a State Farm Insurance — Good Neighbor Grant and a 2013 HEART — History, Education, Arts Reaching Thousands — grant. The HEART grant is made possible from the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
