ELIZABETH— Armando DaSilva, former President of the Elizabeth Board of Education, was awarded the ‘Patriot Award’ at a ceremony at Maguire Air Force Base recently. The prestigious award is given to outstanding employers ‘for contributing to the national security and protecting freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve force.’ The award encompasses all branches of the military.
