CRANFORD — The Cranford Knights of Columbus awarded scholarships to 12 high school graduates this year. Ten of these students were awarded their scholarships at what has become an annual tradition in the Mary Garden of St Michael’s Church in Cranford on Tuesday, June 9.
James Giblin received the Monsignor Louis Fimiani Scholarship, Gemma Grande was awarded the Christine Bagniewski Scholarship and the Irene Shackell Scholarship was presented to Lillian Hunsinger.
The other scholarship recipients were Gabriella Hernandez, John Junio, Natalie Kastin, Joseph Kelly, Ryan McCarthy, Shannon Morin, Karly Ohngemach, Ashley Patt and Liam Soyka.
This year, Cranford Council distributed more than $17,000 to graduating seniors.
The Cranford Knights of Columbus thanked the larger Cranford Community for supporting its various events and activities throughout the year, some of which allow us to raise funds which support our Scholarship Fund.
The Cranford Knights of Columbus is a Catholic Men’s Fraternal Organization dedicated to the core principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism.
