Gateway Regional Chamber of Commerce honors three local businesses

ELIZABETH – The Gateway Regional Chamber of Commerce recently honored three local businesses at the organization’s 102nd International Airport Marriott.

Reardon Communications Group of Mountainside was honored as Small Business of the Year, Prescription Corporation of America was recognized as Medium Company of the Year and Marriott Hotels was honored as Large Company of the Year.

Reardon Communications Group provides small, medium and large businesses with a variety of communications services, including: web site and sales/marketing content writing; bylined article writing; business profiles and case studies; media relations; newsletters; annual reports; business plans; and general communications consulting.

Principal Christopher Reardon also serves as editor of the monthly business newspapers “Inside Business,” affiliated with the Gateway Chamber, and “Business Edge,” affiliated with the Morris County Chamber of Commerce.

Prescription Corporation of America is a wholly owned subsidiary of Healthcare Corporation of America, a New Jersey-based pharmacy benefit manager and mail order pharmacy established in 2008. PCA is the main operating subsidiary of HCCA and provides comprehensive PBM services to employers, business associations and trade groups, local government entities, labor unions, school districts and hospitals.

Marriott International, Inc. has more than 3,800 properties, 19 brands and employees at more than 3,800 managed and franchised properties around the world. The company is headquartered in Bethesda, MD, and reported revenues of nearly $12 billion last year. To fulfill the company’s vision to be the number one hospitality company in the world, Marriott continually seeks innovation and creative ways to meet the needs of customers.

The Gateway Regional Chamber of Commerce is one of the largest business associations in New Jersey, with more than 1,200 members. The chamber continued to grow even during the recession, a reflection of the value the organization brings to its members, according to Jim Coyle, Gateway president.

“Tonight, we honor three businesses that have played a key role in the chamber’s growth by providing tremendous support to our organization and the community as a whole,” Coyle said. “Marriott International, Prescription Corporation of America and Reardon Communications have been exemplary members over the years. They are unbelievably generous with their time, advice and their financial support for the chamber. It is my pleasure to be able to honor them tonight as the Gateway Companies of the Year.”
