NEWARK – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray and Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura announced today that a reward up to $10,000 is being offered by the Essex County Sheriff’s Crime Stoppers Program for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Manu Smith, 24, of Hillside and Harry Lovengood, 21, of Newark.
The two young men were fatally shot in the 100 block of Milford Avenue in Newark on Saturday Feb. 15 at approximately 12:20 a.m. They were both pronounced dead a short time later.
