CRANFORD MALE ATHLETE OF THE MONTH

Kymonie Thomas-Nagil, swim team captain

Cranford High School varsity swim team captain Kymonie Thomas-Nagil, a senior, has been on the varsity swim team for the past four years. He is one of the captains and one of the top sprinters. He currently swims the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, which he had a personal best of 53.27 last month, and enjoys swimming the 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard butterfly, when he can. Kymonie arrives at the pool everyday before practice starts and can be found swimming laps on his own almost half an hour before the rest of the team arrives to the pool. Kymonie is looking to swim in college and is hoping to earn some scholarship money to help him with his college choice. He formerly swam with the Cranford Gators Club team for many years and, prior to that, he was with a club team in Plainfield.
