Daniel H. Bobis, 95, of Scotch Plains, NJ died on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Overlook Medical Center, Summit, NJ.
Mr. Bobis was a Patent Attorney at Lerner, David, Littenberg, Krumholz & Mentlik, LLP in Westfield, NJ. Among his many associations with Patent Law organizations, he was President of the New Jersey Intellectual Property Association in 1966 and held the first Annual Meeting of all the Jefferson Medal Awardees granted to 1966.
He was a Captain in the US Air Corps during WW II, and flew 37 missions in battles of the European theater. He was awarded the Air Medal with three bronze and one silver cluster as well as a Purple Heart.
Born in New York City, he lived in Livingston, White Meadow Lake, and Union before moving to Scotch Plains in 1998.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Selma (nee Linder), he was the loving father of Stacee Bobis-Miccio and her husband, Anthony Miccio, and Jodee Verbow, the dear brother of Bernice R. Bobis and proud and doting grandfather of Samantha and Danielle.
Funeral services were held at the Menorah Chapels at Millburn, 2950 Vauxhall Road, Union, NJ on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Interment followed at King Solomon Cemetery, Clifton, NJ.
