RAHWAY — On Oct. 22 through 25, the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools will send a team to Rahway High School as part of its accreditation protocol: Excellence by Design.
According to the Middle States Association, “Excellence by Design is a self-study and accreditation protocol that uses strategic planning as a vehicle for establishing objectives for growth and improvement in student performance and in the school’s capacity to effect that growth. In addition, the protocol provides for a continuous review of programs and services and of the results of student performance. It also enables diverse constituent groups to participate in charting the future of the institution.”
Initially, members of high school community spent significant time in self-study, creating a strategic plan, available on the school website. The culmination of the process is the visit by a team from the Middle States Association.
The visit includes meetings with such members of the Rahway High School community as administrators, teachers, custodians, counselors, and community stakeholders. At the end of the visit, the team will prepare an oral report and present it to all interested members of the school community.
