What is your favorite part of field hockey?
“The team aspect. I love having other players that I can count on and who can count on me to help us achieve our goals.”

In what way has the sport benefited you?
“I have met some of my closest friends through this sport, so I would have to say that the bonds and friendships I’ve made from playing is what has had the greatest impact on me.”

What is your biggest challenge in field hockey?
“Probably time management between field hockey and other extracurricular activities that I do. I am a part of a wide variety of clubs and groups outside of field hockey and I try to divide my time between them as equally as possible, but sometimes it is difficult.”

How do you get ready for a game?
“By listening to music and just being around my teammates, I find that we each hype each other up and that being around each other is the best way to get the energy up before a game. We also have different team traditions like quotes and ribbons that we do before the games, which really unifies us together and gets us ready to play.”

What’s your favorite memory of this season?
“Our first pasta night. It was before our first game and it really got me excited for
the season and reminded me how much fun it was to be on a team, and it gave us a chance to do some team bonding, which helped us in our game play.”

What is your favorite subject in school?
“Probably English, because I love reading and writing.”

What other hobbies do you have?
“Playing lacrosse and surfing. I also love playing with my dog and hanging out
with my friends. I am also a part of my local youth group and enjoy volunteering around my community.”

What are your plans after high school?
“I plan on going to college and majoring in speech pathology. I plan on continuing my field hockey career and playing club field hockey at college.”
