ELIZABETH — Emerson Amador of Alligator Property Management LLC., has been elected to serve as the 2014 chairman of the Elizabeth Avenue Partnership, the downtown management corporation created to administer the Elizabeth Avenue Special Improvement District.
Amador has been on the EAP Board since 2009, serving on the Image & Appearance Committee as well as secretary to the Board of Directors while most recently serving as the chairman of the Golf Committee, now in its second year.
“Serving as chairman of the board is truly an honor and a role I will take very seriously to help the EAP create an even safer, cleaner and much improved Elizabeth Avenue,” said Amador. “I have a lot of new and exciting ideas and look forward to working with the board and staff in executing these new initiatives.”
Amador brings a wealth of experience, business knowledge and marketing expertise to the EAP, having worked in Real Estate for 25 years before opening his own business, Alligator Property Management LLC, a full service real estate brokerage firm offering a wide range of services from selling, managing and renting properties.
Relocating his office to 946 Elizabeth Ave., above the Post Office, a building that the Amador family has owned for more than 50 years, has brought him back to his roots.
“Being back on the Avenue makes me truly feel like I’ve come home again,” said Amador. “Working to improve the area that I feel so connected to is very rewarding,” he said. “Attracting new businesses while making sure the current stores are occupied with quality tenants is one of my goals while promoting the existing businesses through promotions and marketing initiatives.”
Since 1999, the EAP’s mission has been to revitalize and enhance all aspects of the Elizabeth Avenue business district including the, Image & Appearance, Safety, Security & Parking, Promotions, Events and Quality Business Development.
