How much did you relish winning the UCT title last fall after the team was winless the season before?
Becoming Union County champions with the team last year meant everything to me and the rest of us. We all grew up together, playing for the union soccer club with the exception of a few. Being able to fight through the winless season into the county championship was an indescribable feeling.

What do think was your key to success and how will you maintain that this year?
Our key to success last year was playing as a team. Our style of soccer requires everyone to move and communicate as a unit. This year we stress and evolve the same focal points as last year in preparation for the new season.

What have you done individually to prepare for this season?
In preparation, me and all the other guys have been training really hard on our own and with each other. Whether it’s going into the field house to get a lift in or playing in a summer league such as Super Y, me and the rest of the squad did well to prepare for pre season.

Do you have a favorite professional team? A player?
My favorite professional team is Bayern Munich. I love there quick style of play where they are able to hold the ball with players like (Robert) Lewandowski and (Thomas) Mueller. I especially idolize Joshua Kimmich since he plays the same position as I do.

Since you’ve also had success playing volleyball, is there a sport you prefer over the other?
I value both sports the same and have no real preference.

Besides soccer, what are you looking forward to regarding the school year?
Some of the other things I’m looking forward to his year are prom, homecoming and being able to support other Union athletics.

Have you thought much about after high school? Do you have any plans?
After high school I am looking to play a sport in college and pursue a degree in a scientific field.
