Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County Aquatics Program spring season is open

UNION – Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County Aquatics Program is underway at the Union Club. Members are learning important skills in water safety and swimming, which will impact them throughout their lives.

Additionally, their Tidal Wave Swim Team in busy training for meets throughout the spring season. The next Tuesday/Thursday Swim Session begins March 20 through April 10. The next Wednesday/Friday Swim Session begins March 21 through April 11.

The next Saturday swim session begins March 22. There are ongoing swim sessions throughout the year. Aquatics Director, Yefim Shoykhet, has over 40 years of experience coaching and training youth to develop competitive swimming skills. Assistant Aquatics Director, Lucero Cano, brings over 20 years of swim coaching experience.

The Tidal Wave Swim Team competes in both short and long course meets. Two Tidal Wave Swimmers achieved Sectional Zone cut-off times. This gives them the opportunity to compete with top swimmers in 15 east coast states.

Additionally, they offer ‘Learn To Swim’ programs for children as young as 9 months. Their swim programs reach over 1,200 youth a year, providing them with an aptitude that will last a lifetime.
