ROSELLE PARK, NJ — Roselle Park 2026 Woman of the Year was honored on Thursday, March 5. Mayor Joseph Signorello II and Councilwoman Rosanna Antonuccio Lyons and council honored some special women of Roselle Park.
Lyons started Woman of the year in 2023 to acknowledge and celebrate women in Roselle Park.
This is the fourth year to acknowledge local women and honor one as women of the year.
”Getting to know one another and learning from each other creates a lasting impact,” said Lyons. “Celebrating each individual – who they are and what they bring – is what keeps us connected.
Unity remains my focus and working together for the good of our community is truly something special.
“It was a beautiful moment to honor the nominees and the 2026 Woman of the Year, Faith Odat!
Faith Odat is truly the heart of our community and a shining example of what it means to serve others. As Roselle Park’s children’s librarian, she has transformed the library into a place where every child and family feels welcomed, valued and inspired. Through her creativity, dedication and genuine care, she has built programs that spark curiosity, foster a love of reading and create a sense of belonging for children of all backgrounds.
“What makes Faith so special is not only the work she does, but the way she does it. She remembers names, celebrates each child’s interests and creates spaces where young people feel seen, encouraged, and empowered. Her impact reaches far beyond books and story time – she is shaping confident, compassionate future leaders.
“Outside of the library, Faith continues to give generously of her time as a mentor, Girl Scout leader, volunteer and advocate for youth and families. Her kindness, patience and unwavering positivity have touched countless lives throughout Roselle Park.
“For her dedication, compassion and the lasting impact she has made on our children, families and community, it is my great honor to recognize Faith Odat as the 2026 Roselle Park Woman of the Year.
“We also honored all of the nominees: Shana O’Keefe, Caitie Wagstaff, Maria Cunha, Gilda DeIorio, Marigrace Mastapeter, Laura Bundy, Joanna Zaraza, Tresha Cowell and Selenia Vega Romano. Each of the women represent resilience, dedication, compassion and selflessness.
Thank you to all who nominated these amazing women and look forward to more ahead this year!
“We also celebrated women – at a special dinner at Costa’s Ristorante in Roselle Park.
honoring the many ways they create, lead and uplift our community.
“Women were created to create – bringing life, light and love through family, motherhood, creativity, leadership and service. They build homes, strengthen communities and shape generations with compassion and determination.
“When women celebrate one another, something powerful happens. We recognize resilience, honor strength and uplift the spirit that carries others forward.
“Together, in unity and support, women create a ripple effect – impacting families, communities and the future.
“Today, we honored that life, that light and that love within every woman present.”
