ELIZABETH — Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Thursday night in Elizabeth, acting Union County Prosecutor Grace Park announced today.
The victim has been identified as Teyvon Ray, 20, of Elizabeth.
Police rushed to the area of Bond and 2nd streets shortly before 9:30 p.m. Thursday to find Ray suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was transported to Trinitas Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The case remains under joint investigation by the Union County Homicide Task Force and the Elizabeth Police Department.
