The 42nd annual girls’ basketball Union County Tournament continues tonight – Tuesday, Feb. 14 – with eight first round games at the higher seeds.

10-Governor Livingston (9-11) at 7-Union (9-13)

NOTES:

– Johnson swept Rahway in Union County Conference-Mountain Division play, winning 36-35 in Rahway on Dec. 20 and 67-54 in Clark on Jan. 19.

– Patrick School won at Scotch Plains 80-16 on Jan. 31.

– Cranford and Union Catholic have not played each other this season. Union Catholic has won a county-best nine straight, while Cranford has won four of its last five.

– Roselle Catholic defeated visiting Summit 47-38 on Jan. 31. Roselle Catholic has won six straight.

– Union defeated visiting Governor Livingston 46-36 on Feb. 4. GL has lost five straight.

– New Providence and Linden have not played each other this season. Linden has won eight in a row.

– Oak Knoll defeated visiting Kent Place 43-32 on Feb. 2, snapping Kent Place’s five-game winning streak.

– Dayton and Westfield have not played each other this year.
