UCT boys’ volleyball debuts today – Friday, May 5 – at Johnson; 6 teams involved, with matches taking place in both gymnasiums

The first boys’ volleyball Union County Tournament will be contested today – Friday, May 5 – at Johnson High School in Clark.

Here is the schedule for the one-day event:

SEEDS: 1-Union. 2-Elizabeth. 3-Summit. 4-Plainfield. 5-Linden. 6-Roselle Catholic.

SCHEDULE:

FIRST TWO MATCHES:

5-Linden vs. 4-Plainfield, 5 p.m.

6-Roselle Catholic vs. 3-Summit, 5 p.m.

SEMIFINALS:

Linden/Plainfield vs. 1-Union, 6:30 p.m.

Roselle Catholic/Summit vs. 2-Elizabeth, 6:30 p.m.

FINAL:

Semifinal winners, 8 p.m.

There will be an admission charge.

Union has the best record at 10-1. The Farmers split matches with Elizabeth.

Elizabeth is 13-2, Summit 4-8, Plainfield 4-5, Linden 2-5 and Roselle Catholic 0-8.
