HILLSIDE – Hillside came through big-time in its first game on its new field turf field, dominating Cranford 39-10 on Friday afternoon, Oct. 26.
Scoring touchdowns in the first half for the Comets, who improved to 8-0 and will be the top seed in defending last year’s Central Jersey, Group 2 title, were seniors Brian Ugwu on a 40-yard run, senior Boris Nicolas-Paul on a pass from junior quarterback Gavin Melendez covering 42 yards and junior Nahree Biggins on a fumble recovery in the end zone.
