Elmora Youth will now close with Aug. 22 consolation game; Troopers eliminated in LLWS by Louisiana 4-1

The Elmora Youth Troopers of Elizabeth went up against a top-notch opponent in Wednesday, Aug. 21 Little League World Series competition in Williamsport, Pa.
Held to just two hits and one unearned run, Elmora was defeated by River Edge, La. 4-1.
As a result, Elmora was eliminated from LLWS play and finished with a more-than-respectable 2-2 record. Elmora defeated Oregon and Rhode Island and was defeated by Hawaii and Louisiana.
Elmora will close with a consolation game scheduled to be played Thursday, Aug. 22.
Egan Prather struck out 10 and allowed just one hit in 5 and 1/3 innings for River Edge.
Elmora’s J.R. Rosado drove in the game’s final run with a triple.
River Edge will next play Thursday, Aug. 22 and is one win away from reaching the Saturday, Aug. 24 United States final.
The championship game is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 25.
