Michael K. Cramer of Vernon Township NJ, passed away March 6, 2018 at home, after a long battle with cancer, his wife at his side.
Michael was born on Staten Island NY and moved to Union in 1963 and lived there until 2017. He graduated Union HS in 1970. Attended Seamen’s Church Institute of NY & NJ Maritime School with his first mates license, sailing as a Merchant Marine for several years. He then returned and went on to become owner of Rimmele’s Flower Shop in Union in 1986 and remained there until he retired in Dec. 2017. He was a member of Loyalty Chapter of DeMolay, sponsored by Gavel Lodge of the Freemasons, Union Rotary and Grace Lutheran Church.
Michael was the beloved husband of 37 years of his wife Jean (nee Howells); devoted father of Christine, James, Evan and Allison Cramer. Loving grandfather of Damian and his brother, Christian and Gabriela and her sister Olivia. Predeceased by his parents Karl Cramer and Joan Charles. Survived by his stepmother Marion Cramer, brothers Bruce and Stephen Cramer, sisters Joanne Hamilton, Irene Bartosh and Laura Weiss. His is also survived by 3 aunts, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
