Marshalls to open new store in Union on Oct. 22: Friends of the Union Public Library to receive $5,000 donation

UNION — Marshalls, one of the nation’s leading off-price retailers will open a new store in Union on Oct. 22.  This month marks a significant milestone for Marshalls now operating over 1,000 stores in 48 states and Puerto Rico. The new store, located at 2401 Route 22 West in Union, will offer a surprising selection of high-quality, on-trend, brand name and designer merchandise in ladies, men, juniors, kids, shoes, accessories, home, pet, beauty and more.

“The new Union store will be stocked weekly with a new, fresh assortment of the brand name and designer merchandise that our shoppers love,” said Richard Sherr, president of Marshalls.  “Our buyers are fashion experts with a keen sense of style and are passionate about finding the most coveted merchandise for our shoppers for so much less.”

Marshall’s will be open on Oct. 22 from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. and they are inviting the shopping public to enjoy the festivities including surprising giveaways, gift card prizes and more.

One of the store’s features will be having thousands of new items arriving weekly, so it’s like entering a new store with every visit. Their buyers shop year-round, not just seasonally and work with brands, designers and manufacturers all over the world to offer a mix of high-quality merchandise.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES 

In addition to providing a new shopping option for local residents, the new store plans to add approximately 60 full and part-time jobs to the area.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT 

In celebration of its new Union location, Marshalls will contribute to the local community by presenting a $5,000 donation to the Friends of the Union Library at the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 22 at 7:30 a.m.  Marshalls also has national and local partnerships with charitable organizations around the country including JDRF, Alzheimer’s Association and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
