UNION COUNTY — Columbia Bank has proudly announced their 2013 Community Service Award winners, part of a statewide program that recognizes outstanding community support efforts by their employees. Local branches in Union County are located in Clark and Linden. Columbia Bank employees receiving this year’s special recognition were:
• Mary Anne Constantine of Maple Shade serves as an officer and member of Maple Shade’s Advisory Board of Commerce and the Maple Shade Rotary Club, Fire Ladies Auxiliary and Business Association. She is also a local Habitat for Humanity and South Jersey Food Bank volunteer. Constantine is a Financial Services Officer at Columbia’s Maple Shade branch office.
• Frank Coppola of Hawthorne serves on the Hawthorne Mayor’s Economic Development Committee; as Past President of the Care Plus Foundation, a local mental health and substance abuse services charity; as Secretary of the Hawthorne Lion’s Club, and was instrumental in establishing the Farmer’s Market in Hawthorne. Coppola is Vice President, Regional Branch Administration Officer for Columbia’s Paramus Region.
• Margie Hochkeppel of Kinnelon serves as a member of Hawthorne’s Chamber of Commerce and 9/11 Memorial Committee, and as Past President of the Hawthorne Rotary Club. She also volunteers her time to promote financial literacy to local students. Hochkeppel is Financial Services Officer at Columbia’s Hawthorne branch office.
• Cathe Nicholson of Butler serves as a member of “Let Them Be Little X2,” an Elmwood Park-based children’s charity, and as New Jersey Delegate for the Columbiettes, an auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus. She is also a local Habitat for Humanity and food bank volunteer. Nicholson is a Commercial Loan Administrative Assistant at the bank’s corporate offices in Fair Lawn.
• Mark Schott of Pennsauken serves on the Board of Directors of the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce and the Animal Welfare Association. He is District Finance Chairman for Rotary District 7640 and Membership Chairman/Past President for Voorhees Breakfast Rotary Club. Mark is also a Cathedral Kitchen and Ronald McDonald House volunteer in addition to his involvement in many other non-profit ventures. Schott is Vice President, Regional Branch Administration Officer for Columbia’s Southern Region headquartered in Voorhees.
