Westfield handed Scotch Plains its only loss, defeating the Raiders 1-0 Scotch Plains on Sept. 9. The Blue Devils have outscored their first six foes by an impressive 17-0 margin. Westfield was scheduled to host Kearny Tuesday.
Westfield defeated Kearny 7-1 Tuesday at home and is now 7-0 and has outscored the opposition by a 24-1 count.
The Farmers opened with four wins that saw them outscore the opposition by a wide 19-4 combined score. Union followed the Scotch Plains loss with consecutive shutout home victories over Kent Place 3-0 on Sept. 20 and over division foe Cranford 2-0 last Saturday.
