Johnson High School diamond teams captured Union County Conference division championships outright, with the baseball team going a perfect 8-0 in Mountain Division play following a 5-2 win at New Providence May 19.
Johnson’s softball team finished 7-1 in Watchung Division action, its final league game a 7-4 win at Gov. Livingston May 16.
Last year, the Johnson baseball team finished tied for first in the Mountain Division with Dayton and Union Catholic, all three fashioning 5-3 league marks.
Johnson’s softball team shared the Watchung Division crown with Westfield in 2014 and GL in 2015.
The other three UCC baseball division titles have also been clinched, with Westfield winning the Watchung, Summit the Valley and Rahway repeating as the Sky winner.
