UNION COUNTY, NJ — With the summer coming to an end and September around the corner, Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County is switching gears.
Registration for after school programs in Union, Elizabeth, Plainfield, Roselle, and Hillside is now open.
Programs for youth ages 5 to 18 and cover a variety of subjects, including education enrichment, healthy lifestyle choices, community engagement, performance art, smart moves, career development, digital arts and technology. Teen leadership programs for youth ages 12 to 18 are also offered. Teen programming includes career education/exploration, cooperative challenges, team-building exercises, community service projects and leadership training.
Swim lessons, including water safety programs, and Tidal Wave Swim Team practice are available at the Union Club Aquatics Center.
After school programs began Tuesday, Sept. 8, and run Monday through Friday, from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.
