UNION COUNTY — The 18th annual Union County St. Patrick’s Day Parade stepped off on Saturday, March 15, to the beats of many different drums and the tunes of many different bagpipes. Robert E. Jeans Sr. of Kenilworth, a decorated Vietnam veteran and retired Kenilworth Police Department lieutenant served as the 2014 grand marshal.

UNION COUNTY— The roads are pock-marked and ravaged all over Union County with devastating potholes. Some towns started temporarily filling the holes, but all will need to address the situation more long-term once the weather warms up. The ground may currently be covered in snow, but it’s not too early to plan ahead for the great thaw that is sure to come. The county is now offering a program at the Trailside Nature and Science Center to help communities build gardens for schools and youth groups. It will be held Feb. 22.
UNION — Many towns in Union County saw more than eight inches of snow fall on Monday, and even more overnight into the early morning hours of Wednesday. Forecasters are calling for more snow, with the threat of a possible blizzard on the horizon for this weekend.
