CLARK — Fourth graders from the Frank K. Hehnly School in Clark traveled to Trenton this last week for a visit to the New Jersey Statehouse. The statehouse field trip, an application of the fourth grade social studies curriculum of New Jersey, was a very special one for the students and their teachers. Instead of the standard tour of the statehouse that features observing the General Assembly and Senate Chambers from upstairs viewing rooms, the fourth graders were most fortunate to get a personalized tour from Sen. Christopher ‘Kip’ Bateman.
