UNION — Residents in Union stared in amazement on Monday, as a pickup truck crashed into a telephone pole on Stuyvesant Avenue, causing live power wires to dangle into the road and sparks to fly. The street was closed for the better part of the day and residents and businesses experienced brief power outages as PSE&G and emergency personel worked to remove the truck and fix the downed wires. The condition of the driver is unknown.
