All four home teams were victorious Wednesday, May 3 when the 42nd annual softball Union County Tournament continued with its quarterfinal round.
Top-seeded Governor Livingston edged eighth-seeded Summit 2-1.
Fifth-seeded Cranford trimmed 13th-seeded Scotch Plains 11-1 at Adams Avenue Field.
Second-seeded Westfield turned back 10th-seeded Elizabeth 8-2.
Third-seeded and defending champion Johnson blanked sixth-seeded Dayton 10-0.
The semifinals are scheduled to be played Saturday, May 6 at 6 p.m. at Linden’s Flanagan Fields.
The final is scheduled for May 13 at 2 p.m. at Kean University’s Cougar Field in Union.
