Kent Place girls’ volleyball wins big while supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month

TOP PHOTO: On Oct. 19, the Kent Place girls’ volleyball team hosted a “Pink Out” event in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month during its Union County Tournament quarterfinal home match vs. Scotch Plains. The Dragons won the match in two games, advancing to the semifinals where they were defeated Tuesday night at Johnson in two games by top-seeded Westfield.

 

BOTTOM PHOTO: Kent Place’s mascot, Chumley the dragon, rallied fans in a packed Field House and posed with pink volleyballs for the “Pink Out” event. All Kent Place Athletic teams have been practicing with pink equipment to increase awareness about breast cancer.
