Because of heavy rain that began Thursday and is expected to continue past Friday night, Saturday’s state champi0nship baseball games involving Cranford and Westfield have been moved to Sunday at Toms River East High School and Toms River North High School in Toms River.
Cranford will play Burlington Township in the Group 3 final at 12:30 p.m. at Toms River East. The defending champion Cougars are seeking to win back-to-back state championships for the first time.
Westfield will play Eastern in the Group 4 final at 3:30 p.m. at Toms River North. The Blue Devils are seeking to capture their first state championship.
