Four Union County baseball teams were able to play their state tournament contests Friday, with two winning and two falling.
Roselle Park, the 14th seed, won at sixth-seeded Weehawken 7-0 in a North 2, Group 1 quarterfinal. The Panthers, who captured the section in 2011, will play at either 10th-seeded Secaucus or second-seeded Ridgefield Tuesday in the semifinals.
Roselle Catholic, the ninth seed, won at eighth-seeded St. Joseph, Hammonton 6-0 to advance to the Non-Public, South B quarterfinals. The Lions will next play Tuesday at top-seeded St. Rose of Belmar.
Elizabeth, the eighth seed, lost at top-seeded Watchung Hills 6-0 in a North 2, Group 4 quarterfinal played at Diamond Nation in Flemington.
Oratory Prep, the ninth seed, was defeated by eighth-seeded Montclair-Kimberley Academy 3-2 in a Non-Public, North B first round contest competed at night on the field turf at West Orange.
