There is a shortage of candidate forums in around Union County this election year, but following is a list of those that are still available for residents.
Springfield
Residents will give residents two opportunities, in comfortable non partisan settings, to meet and speak with the four candidates running for two open seats on the local Township Committee.
The Springfield Patriot Chamber of Commerce Meet Your Local Candidates Evening Forum is scheduled for Oct. 24, at Jonathan Dayton High School Auditorium,139 Mountain Ave., at 7:30 p.m.The doors will open at 7:15 p.m.
The Springfield Chapter of Hadassah Meet Your Local Candidates Morning Forum is scheduled for Oct. 25 at Springfield Public Library at 11 a.m.Since a mini-lunch will be served, non Hadassah members are urged to call 973-376-5067.
Union
Township Committee
The League of Women Voters is holding a Candidates Night for both municipal and school board elections this month.
The township committee forum will be held Oct. 22 at 7 p.m.in the municipal building, located at 1976 Morris Avenue. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m.The meeting will be televised on channel 34 at 7 p.m.
Board of Education
The board of education forum will be held tonight, Oct. 18, at8 p.m.in the library o fUnion High School, located at 2400 North Third St. The doors will open at 7:40 p.m.
Cranford
A candidates forum for Township Committee candidates will be held at8 p.m.at town hall, tonight, Oct. 18.
