UNION MALE ATHLETE OF THE MONTH

Manny Florestal, Track, Senior

“Manny is a returning senior, with a great and tremendous upside. 49.25 in the 400 was his best outdoor time last season. Manny has run some impressive times this winter in hopes for a big spring. 50.45 in the 400 meters was his best this winter. He’s a hard worker and will impress many colleges this spring.”
— Union track coach Tony Stewart

I like both, but I preferably like outdoors.

Are there any other sports you play, either competitively or recreationally?
Yes, I play football.

What do you do to stay fit in the off-season?
Off season I lift with the football players, or go to the gym by myself.

Do you have a favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject is science.

What are your plans for the summer after you graduate and next year?
I plan to go to college to study for being a personal trainer.

What do you enjoy most about track?
I most enjoy when I walk into a track meet. I have people from other schools telling me how fast and great I am.
