Union Chamber of Commerce to hold event on March 18: “Are there Bullies in Your Workplace?”

UNION — The Union Township Chamber of Commerce will address the topic of bullying in the workplace at its March networking event, scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Café Z, 2333 Morris Ave., Union.

“The topic of bullying has certainly been addressed in the school systems, but there is also a need for greater awareness on the effects of bullies when they grow up and operate in the workplace,” said Chamber Executive James Masterson. “Whether your business is large or small, your employees can experience bullying on the job, and it can contribute to absenteeism, high turnover and litigation.”

The evening’s presenter is Mary Anne Kochut of Champions for Success. She is an author, motivational speaker, coach and trainer who specializes in the areas of leadership, communications and financial services.

Admission for the event is $10 for members and $15 for guests. Pre-registration is required by contacting the Chamber by calling 908-688-2777, or by emailing [email protected].

The Union Township Chamber of Commerce is a professional association dedicated to strengthening, uniting, promoting and representing member businesses located in Union and the surrounding area.
