UNION, NJ — The Boys and Girls Clubs of Union County had a special visit from Nunzio’s BBQ Charcoal Grill in Vauxhall on Friday, Jan. 15. Diana Yuen, owner of Nunzio’s, personally presented the B&GC with a check for $360 to support programs at the Union Club.
Nunzio’s BBQ has created a yearlong fundraising program for 2016 called “Eat for Charity.” The program, which celebrates the eatery’s 11th anniversary, will donate 10 percent of the day’s gross sales from the first day of each month to a local non-profit organization. Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County is the beneficiary of the proceeds for Jan. 1, and they look forward to future opportunities.
“Thank you, Diana, and Nunzio’s BBQ for creating this community-based event,” said Russell Triolo, CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs. “What a wonderful way to celebrate your 11th anniversary and help the local community to support important programs.”

Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County offers youth programs in five communities in Union County: Plainfield, Elizabeth, Union, Hillside and Roselle. Teen leadership programs for ages 14 to 18 are available in Union, Elizabeth and Plainfield. Members participate in character, leadership, career-preparation and community-service activities throughout the year. Aquatics instruction is available at the Union Club.
