LINDEN — The Union County Chapter of M.A.D.D. recently honored two Linden police officers for their effort to reduce accidents and injuries caused by drunk drivers.
Linden officers Gavin Sheehan and Linden officer Monika Oliviera topped their department in the number of drunk driving arrests during the previous year.
Sheehan, 38, is a 4 year veteran of the department, who had transferred from the Fanwood Police Department. Oliviera, 32, is a 5 year veteran of the Linden Police Department. The awards took place at a recent ceremony at Nomahegan Park in Cranford in which Linden Police Chief James Schulhafer was in attendance to congratulate his officers.
