Summit Library to present seminar on Medicare

SUMMIT — Medicare can be a bewildering topic. On Tuesday, Jan. 28, from 7 to 9 p.m., Summit Public Library will host “The A,B, C,D’s of Medicare: Basics for Boomers.” This free seminar, explained in easy-to-understand terms, is vital for those who are approaching Medicare eligibility within the next 5 to 10 years, or are a caregiver for — or the adult child of — someone approaching Medicare eligibility.

The seminar will answer such important questions as:

• At what age must you apply for Medicare benefits—even if you’re still working? even if you’re not eligible for Social Security?
• What is the difference between Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage and Medigap?
• What do I have to know if I’m Medicare-eligible and still working?

Presenter Neil Berger has more than thirty-five years experience in the Human Resources profession, including benefits and compensation administration, training and development and heading up Human Resource Departments in a variety of industries.

Berger developed this seminar as a result of information he acquired for a large portion of his employees who had incorrect or non-existent information regarding their government-provided benefits.

All are welcome to attend this free program. Due to limited space, the library staff requests that you pre-register at the Reference Desk or call 908-273-0350, ext. 3. The Summit library is located at 75 Maple Street. Visit the library’s website at www.summitlibrary.org for more information.
