Come on out for Temple Sha’arey Shalom’s Hanukkah party!

SPRINGFIELD — Temple Sha’arey Shalom invites the community to its annual Hanukkah Party on Sunday, Nov. 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is free of charge.
The fun starts at 10 a.m. with Brotherhood’s annual brunch, featuring bagels, schmears and sides, along with an abundance of delicious potato latkes and desserts. The temple’s Brotherhood will be selling latkes to go — a bag of seven for $10. They will also be selling bottles of imported Israeli olive oil, which make great holiday gifts. The olive oil is selling for $11 a bottle; $10 a bottle for four or more.

Sing along as the temple’s Junior Youth Group and the temple Hanukkah Band lead a musical holiday sing-a-long. And the fun continues with mess-free Hanukkah crafts and games for children from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is a $6 cost per child for crafts.

Throughout the party, Sisterhood’s Judaica Shop will be open for business, with an array of gifts, toys and other items for sale. The Senior Youth Group is running a coat drive, so bring a gently-used coat for donation. There will also be free blood pressure screenings.

Come celebrate Hanukkah at Temple Sha’arey Shalom. For more information, call the temple office at 973-379-5387 or visit www.shaarey.org.
