Union County College to offer courses at UCPAC in the heart of downtown Rahway

CRANFORD – Union County College has established a location at the Union County Performing Arts Center in the heart of downtown Rahway. This new facility expands their ability to bring their class offerings closer to home for businesses and non-profit organizations as well as individuals.

Among the planned programs are classes by the Industry-Business Institute for employees of businesses in the area. These are free classes funded by a grant from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development and include workshops in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and a twelve-hour Customer Service Skills class.

For information about these grant funded classes, including dates, requirements for eligibility and to register, call Nancy Burke at the Industry-Business Institute at 908-527-7207 or email [email protected].

Beginning this spring, the Office of Continuing Education will offer non-credit classes for leisure and personal enrichment at the Rahway location.

The Senior Scholars program will also offer classes to citizens of Union County age 60 and above free of charge. Registration for Senior Scholars programs must be done in person at our Cranford or Elizabeth campuses. Proof of residency and age are required.

The Rahway facility is located at 1591 Irving St. New classes will be added as required. For more information, contact the Office of Continuing Education at 908-709-7600 or visit the Cranford Campus at 1033 Springfield Ave. Their Spring 2015 catalog can be viewed online at www.ucc.edu/noncredit.
