NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — Pet-loving families in New Providence can breathe a little easier this month because their volunteer fire fighters have a new life-saving tool for pets.
The New Providence Volunteer Fire Department recently received a donation of three sets of specially designed pet oxygen masks from Canine Company for use in rescues involving pets. Each set of masks comes in three sizes to fit many pets — from small mammals like rabbits to giant-breed dogs — and connect to the standard oxygen tanks rescue teams carry.
The donation is part of a Canine Company project to provide the pet rescue masks to first responders in the communities where the company’s customers live.
