Police investigating teenager shot in Linden

LINDEN — A teenager shot in Linden last month died Sunday, Dec. 7, from his injuries and his death is being investigated as a homicide, according to acting Union County Prosecutor Grace H. Park last week.

Jarod Julien, 16, of Roselle, was shot shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, on Nora Drive just south of Route 27. The shooter subsequently entered a nearby car and sped away, according to the investigation. Police and emergency medical personnel arriving at the scene rushed Julien to University Hospital in Newark for surgery.

The Union County Homicide Task Force and the Linden Police Department are jointly investigating the teen’s death, and anyone with information on this matter is being urged to contact Prosecutor’s Office Detective Robert Henderson at 908-347-2686 or Linden Police Detective Steve Zevlikaris at 908-463-1257.
