Linden Police record second Narcan save in two weeks

LINDEN, NJ — On May 25, at 1:35 p.m., police responded to a residence on the 10 block of West Edgar Road on a report of an unconscious female who possibly overdosed. Officers say they found a 27-year-old Linden woman who was unresponsive and barely breathing.

Linden Officers Dan Turon and John Vasquez administered Narcan to the woman, who then responded and became conscious.

She told the officers that she had used heroin earlier. She was further treated by the Linden Fire Department ambulance and paramedics from Trinitas Hospital.

She was transported to Trinitas for further treatment.
On May 14, two officers used Narcan to revive a 20-year-old woman from Bloomfield at a residence on Chandler Avenue.
