LINDEN — Elroy Delgado, center, a teacher at Linden High School, is teaching on Kean University’s China campus in the Elite English Program. This program is designed to immerse and help improve the English skills of the students in a short amount of time. The students learn vocabulary in context, create authentic conversations based on high interest topics and learn various cultural customs of the United States. The students, for the first time in their lives, are expected to be active participants in the classroom and use the English language in context.
