UNION COUNTY — Union County Sheriff Joseph Cryan recently swore in Amilcar “Mickey” Colon of Elizabeth as Union County Undersheriff.
The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders gathered to congratulate Colon, the first person of Latino heritage to achieve the position of Undersheriff in Union County. The Undersheriff, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, served with the Elizabeth Police Department for more than 20 years.
