Cranford works with county to reduce speed limit on county road in residential neighborhood

CRANFORD -- Union County Freeholder Bette Jane Kowalski and Cranford Township Commissioner Kevin Campbell show a 25 mph sign, which will be posted on Walnut Avenue in Cranford. Responding to a request from Cranford, the freeholders agreed to a consistent 25 mph speed limit along Walnut Avenue from South Avenue to Lexington Avenue. This stretch of road runs alongside homes, a school and places of worship, as well as the library and community center.
