TRENTON—On Tuesday, March 11 at noon, the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife will release an adult bald eagle that has been rehabilitated from injuries sustained in a territorial fight with another eagle to highlight the remarkable resurgence of eagles, falcons and ospreys in the Garden State.
The eagle will be released from a field near a pond at the Winslow Wildlife Management Area in Winslow, Camden County, near the border of Monroe in Gloucester County.
Endangered species experts will be on hand to discuss the ongoing recovery of birds of prey in New Jersey, as well as the Endangered Wildlife Fund state income tax check-off, located on Line 59 of Form NJ-1040. This check-off is critical to continuing the work of the DEP to protect threatened and endangered species.
