Snapple Bowl practice commences July 11; Union County All-Stars seek to snap 4-game slide

The myCentralJersey.com Snapple Bowl XXIII is Thursday, July 21 at 7 p.m. at Woodbridge High School, with the annual All-Star Football Game between Union County and Middlesex County just-graduated gridiron standouts taking place at Woodbridge for the first time.

Middlesex County has won the last four games and nine of the last 10 and leads the series 14-8.

Here’s a look at the practice schedule up until next week’s kickoff:

Monday, July 11:
Middlesex County at Woodbridge from 6-8 p.m. – 1/2 pads
Union County at Union from 6-8 p.m. – 1/2 pads
Tuesday, July 12:
Middlesex County at Woodbridge from 6-8 p.m. – 1/2 pads
Union County at Union from 6-8 p.m. – 1/2 pads
Wednesday, July 13:
Middlesex County at Woodbridge from 6-8 p.m. – full pads
Union County at Union from 6-8 p.m. – full pads
Thursday, July 14
Middlesex County at Woodbridge from 6-8 p.m. – full pads
Union County at Union from 6-8 p.m. – full pads
Monday, July 18
Middlesex County to visit Lakeview School for Cerebral Palsy from 9-2 p.m.
Practice at Woodbridge from 3-5 p.m. – 1/2 pads
Union County to visit Children’s Specialized Hospital at 10:15 a.m.
Practice at Union from 1-3 p.m. – 1/2 pads
Tuesday, July 19
Middlesex County at Woodbridge from 6-8 p.m. – full pads

Middlesex County at Woodbridge walk through from noon to 1 p.m. – helmets
Banquet at The Pines Manor in Edison, 6 p.m.
Thursday, July 21
Snapple Bowl XXIII at Woodbridge, 7 p.m.
Union County’s last victory was July 21, 2011 by the score of 28-6 at Kean University’s Alumni Stadium in Union.
The first Snapple Bowl took place July 21, 1994 at Union High School, with Middlesex County coming out on top 35-14.
