Johnson, Benedictine standout softball seasons close in state championship games; Crusaders finish 24-9, Green Bees 16-8

Central Jersey, Group 2 champion Johnson was defeated by North 1, Group 2 champ Ridgewood 9-3 in the June 10 Group 2 state championship game played at Kean University's Cougar Field in Union. Johnson scored all three of its runs in the bottom of the seventh after loading the bases with nobody out.
