SPRINGFIELD –Mark Samuel Ross, the president of the Tri-State Region of B’nai B’rith recently announced the Gov. Chris Christie will be issuing a Special Letter Of Commendation to B’nai B’rith for its 170th birthday.
B’nai Brith will also be receiving a commendatory joint resolution of the NJ Legislature, sponsored by Sen. Thomas Kean Jr. and Assemblyman Jon Bramnick.
The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders will be issuing a proclamation on Oct. 10 and Springfield and Union are also expected to be issuing proclamation as well.
B’nai B’rith will celebrate its birthday with various events and activities including: a Shabbat Dinner and Birthday Party on Oct. 18 sponsored by its Young Leadership Network for single professionals from 21 to 35 years old. The event will take place at the Summit Jewish Community Center, 67 Kent Place Blvd. in Summit; a Football Viewing Party and Birthday Celebration by the BBNJ-Alumni Unit on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 9:30 a.m. at Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael, 60 Temple Drive, Springfield.
